Bad Tatzmannsdorf

Our last concert was in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, a spa area near Rechnitz. "Bad" means bath or spa. It is in an area of Austria known as Burgoland - known, at least by our guide, for being slightly slow. This audience was our largest and most enthusiastic. It was also the only modern-looking Church that we sang in, although we did see modern Churches as we traveled from place to place. The organ was a small organ with no swell box. It was at this Church, that the "Miracle of the Pianos" occurred (see trip home page).

Outside the Church was a large concrete Crucifix and a set of three bells. The white contrasted nicely with the greenery of this resort area.
